Getting ready to publish!

The book is almost here!

Spring is off to a busy start this year, and I expect it is only going to get busier as I get ready to publish Soulseeker. That’s right, it’s finally on its way! I don’t have a date picked out yet, but it will be sometime this summer. Everything is ready except the cover, which is underway! It’s hard to believe that finally, after ~3 years of work, it’s almost here! Look forward to seeing that cover once it is finalized and getting a date soon.

In the meantime, of course, subscribe to the newsletter if you haven’t already to read the prequel story, Highwaymen! It’s a good time, and should give you an idea of what to expect when the book comes out!

Following that, of course, book two! It’s come back from my main beta reader (my brutally honest fiancé, to whom I owe all of my good work), and I am digging into what should be the final round of major revisions. After that, it’s copyediting, illustrations, and that’ll be here too! And then book three, four, etc., etc. (I have begun book three already, and let me tell you, it’s going to be a doozy! I’m very excited to get going on it.)

In the meantime, I’ve been reading (Project Hail Mary, anyone? I think I preferred the movie, honestly, but the book was solid, too), working on our house, trying to get my cats to get along, and running a lot. I did the Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon this last weekend in 2 hours 30 minutes, which is a big improvement for me!

I’m Reading:

  • Cujo – Stephen King

Listening to:

  • Goodbye-Goodbye – Oingo Boingo
  • People are People – Depeche Mode

Watching:

  • The ‘Burbs (the 80s movie, not the new one)
  • Honey, Don’t! (This was so bad I couldn’t believe it)
  • A bunch of 90s Jim Carrey movies
